Passion Tree dessert cafe located on the top floor of Chatswood Interchange participated in our Sydney Korean Festival, this is our second year in a row! Last year was a great success, we had long lines and were completely sold out just after lunch time. This year was no different except we brought along 3 times as much stock and didn't sell out until just before the end of the event.
We were selling our popular Bingsoo shaved ice dessert, and showing off our new flavour, Taro Bingsoo!

Our newest addition to our Passion Tree menu: TARO BINGSOO! Our Taro Bingsoo features not only features taro ice-cream, but also a special taro sauce made in-store. Combined with sliced almonds, Crunchy Nut, red bean, white chocolate and matcha mochi, this is a combination you will definitely fall in love with. Perfectly paired with an Iced Americano or Iced Tea.
But what exactly is Taro?
Taro comes in lots of varieties, ranging from small to large and from white-fleshed to purple-flecked ones. Similar to potato, it is starchy and similar in flavour except more nuttier, richer, and more complex taste overall. Compared to a white potato, it has three times the amount of fibre, and is also a rich source of potassium, iron, vitamin C, and vitamin A. Time for some Taro Bingsoo!
If chocolate ice cream and all things baked aren’t your style, you should head to Passion Tree and grab a fruit bowl. Bingsu or bingsoo is a Korean dessert that uses shaved ice, fruit, and varied ingredients to create a delicious and refreshing meal. Passion Tree serves not only watermelon, but rockmelon and pineapple variants too!

Like all good dessert bars, Passion Tree's menu is made for sharing, and its soaring entrance, studded with naked light globes and suspended wooden chairs, creates a playful atmosphere for couples and groups to feast within.
